Renovating doesn’t always mean spending thousands of dollars or hiring a big contractor. Over the past few months, I’ve studied some small, low-cost upgrades that can completely change the feel of a living space.. here are 5 that worked best:
-
Paint an Accent Wall
One gallon of paint can transform an entire room’s vibe. You can chose a bold navy for the living room and it will instantly fell more modern. -
Replace Old Handles/Knobs
Swapping out cabinet handles and door knobs can be done under 1 hour and cost less than $40. Huge difference in the kitchen! -
Add Peel-and-Stick Backsplash
Perfect for renters. You can install a faux-marble backsplash in the kitchen, and it looks 10x more expensive than it was. -
Upgrade Lighting
switch from yellow bulbs to daylight LEDs. Brighter, cleaner, and energy-saving. -
DIY Wall Shelves
Simple floating shelves will give extra storage and a place to display plants/art.
Lesson learned: You don’t need big budgets for big impact. Small, consistent upgrades add up and make your home feel brand new.
