DIY Fail & Fix fory bathroom
One time, I tried installing a bathroom towel rack using just nails instead of proper anchors.
Within two days, the whole rack ripped out of the drywall, leaving an ugly hole.
Lesson learned: always use anchors or mount into studs when hanging anything heavy.
To fix it, I patched the hole with drywall filler, sanded it smooth, and repainted before reinstalling the rack with heavy-duty anchors.
It hasn’t moved since. Renovation mistakes can be frustrating, but they’re part of learning. The important thing is not to panic most DIY fails can be fixed with the right tools and patience.
