This bathroom refresh took place in a condo bathroom in Toronto, Canada. The space was usable, but the fixtures were old and the lighting made everything look dull. I thought it would be a one-day update, but that plan didn’t hold up.
Before: Lackluster Bath ![]()
The first step was replacing the vanity mirror and light fixture. I didn’t realize how uneven the wall was until the new mirror went up slightly tilted. I had to take it down, patch one spot, and try again.
During renovation – mirror removal light fixture installation ![]()
Swapping out the faucet and adding a new towel bar made the bathroom feel newer, but one of the water connections dripped at first. Tightening it fixed the issue, but it definitely slowed things down.
After: Contemporary Classic
In the end, the bathroom looks cleaner and brighter. It’s not a full renovation, and one tile near the sink still shows its age, but the upgrades made daily use more enjoyable.
If you’re renovating a Toronto bathroom, expect small surprises — older condos rarely have perfectly straight walls.
Real Note
This job took longer than expected, mostly because nothing lined up perfectly the first time.
