For better heat protection, get dual-pane windows with tempered glass. Also, make sure they can handle the wind in your area. Windows with metal outside and low-E glass can help reduce heat. If you’re in a fire prone area, go for good seals and frames made of aluminum or fiberglass. They’re safer!
