Right now, if you’re up in Canada, getting a Tesla Solar Roof isn’t an option. It’s not approved for use there yet, and it’s missing some local certifications. Plus, there’s no clear way to get the permits you’d need. None of the provinces are connecting these roofs to the grid, so sales and installs are on hold.
In the meantime, you might want to look at other solar roof options that are certified and meet the standards for Canada. Or, you could hang tight and see if Tesla says anything about getting certified and rolling out their roofs in Canada later on.
