Many renovation problems are not technical — they are communication problems. The homeowner assumes, the contractor assumes, the workers assume — and the building pays the price.
Say everything clearly: tile direction, color shade, wardrobe size, socket positions, window height. Don’t say “just do it fine.” Fine means different things to different people. Use pictures, sketches, or sample installations.
Also, write down changes. Verbal site decisions disappear later when payment arguments start. A short message or note is enough proof. When communication is clear, even an average contractor can deliver good results. When communication is vague, even the best contractor will disappoint you.
Renovation is not magic — it is clear instruction plus consistent follow-up.
