Emily Simpson, star of The Real Housewives of Orange County (RHOC), recently opened up about her home renovation progress in a tour with BravoTV.com. While she is thrilled with many of the upgrades, Emily admitted that one design choice left her with a lingering regret.
Main Renovation Updates
Fireplace (The Regret)
Emily revealed that her fireplace renovation did not turn out as expected.
She had shown her husband Shane inspiration photos, but the final result ended up narrower than she envisioned, leaving less space on the mantel for decor.
While Shane believed he had recreated her vision accurately, Emily confessed she wasn’t completely satisfied.
Floors and Kitchen
Travertine floors were replaced with warm hardwood flooring, dramatically changing the look and feel of the home.
The kitchen was upgraded with a stone island centerpiece and a window bench, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics.
Family Room
A built-in console was added, creating a more polished and customized family room layout.
Loft & Master Suite Access
The loft area was remodeled to improve flow and now leads seamlessly into the master suite.
Future Renovation Plans
Primary Bathroom (2026)
Emily revealed the primary bathroom has yet to be touched.
She described it as a “massive project” and confirmed that the renovation is scheduled for 2026.
Backyard Transformation
After the bathroom project, Emily and Shane plan to tackle the backyard renovation, completing the overall vision for their home.
