How a Small Budget Still Improved This Bathroom (Atlanta)

Not every bathroom renovation needs a big budget. I saw this during a small update in Atlanta, Georgia, where the goal was to improve function without spending too much.

The bathroom wasn’t falling apart, but it felt dark and outdated. Instead of tearing everything out, the focus was on small changes that actually mattered.

The first upgrade was lighting. Swapping out the old fixture made the space feel bigger right away. After that, the vanity hardware and mirror were replaced, which sounds minor but had a noticeable impact.

They kept the existing tile and tub, which saved a lot of money.

The last step was repainting. A lighter wall color helped bounce light around the room and made everything feel cleaner. The whole update stayed under $2,800, mostly because nothing major was demolished.

This project was a good reminder that smart choices can matter more than big spending.

If you’re renovating in Atlanta and working with a tight budget, small upgrades can still go a long way.

Would you rather do small updates like this, or wait and do a full remodel?
