I always wanted a walk in closet but did not want the cost of a full remodel. With some creativity I managed to create one using an unused corner of my bedroom.
I used a freestanding wardrobe system with shelves and hanging rods. To separate the space I added a sliding curtain which created the feeling of a dedicated closet. A large mirror leaned against the wall made it practical for dressing.
For lighting I installed battery powered stick on lights inside the closet area. Finally I added small drawers for accessories and shoes.
It was not a true built in walk in closet but it gave me the function I wanted at a fraction of the cost.
Final thought: Sometimes all you need is creativity to achieve a dream feature. What space in your home could be repurposed like this?
