How I Built a Budget Friendly Outdoor Deck

I always dreamed of having a deck but the quotes I got were way out of budget. Instead I decided to try a DIY approach.

I used pressure treated lumber which was cheaper than composite. I kept the design simple with a rectangular shape to avoid extra cuts. Renting tools instead of buying saved even more money.

The process took about three weekends. The hardest part was leveling the ground but once the posts were in place the rest went faster. I finished with a clear sealant to protect the wood.

It is not the fanciest deck but it is sturdy, affordable and perfect for relaxing outdoors.
