This kitchen update was done in a home in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The cabinets were structurally fine but looked dated and worn, especially around the handles.
Before photo – old and worn kitchen cabinets.
I started by removing all the cabinet doors and hardware. I didn’t label the doors at first, which was a mistake. Putting them back took longer because a few didn’t line up the way I expected.
During renovation – cabinet doors being repainted.
After sanding, painting, and adding new hardware, the kitchen looked much cleaner. One door still closes slightly tighter than the others, but adjusting the hinge helped.
After photo – refreshed kitchen cabinets.
This wasn’t a full renovation, but it made a big difference. For a Minneapolis kitchen, updating cabinets instead of replacing them saved both time and money.
Honest Note
Labeling parts at the start would’ve saved me an hour.
