Swapping outdated fixtures felt intimidating wires always do. But after turning off the breaker (triple-checked), I installed new pendants and under-cabinet lighting.
The difference was immediate. Shadows disappeared. The room looked warmer, clearer, more inviting. Cooking at night finally felt easy instead of dim and gloomy.
It was one of the smallest DIY projects and one of the most satisfying.
