Many renovation arguments start with “That’s not what I meant.” The contractor thought one thing, you imagined another. Words are weak in construction. Visual confirmation is stronger.
Before full installation, request:
one test tile layout
one cabinet sample
one paint test area
one light fitting position
A small mockup saves massive regret. Adjustments are cheap when work is still small. Once everything is installed, corrections feel like punishment. Good contractors don’t fear mockups — they use them to avoid conflict.
In renovation, seeing is agreement.
