Renovation markets today are full of copies. Fake cement, imitation tiles, low-grade cables with big brand names printed on them — everything looks “original” until it fails. Once it is installed inside your wall or floor, it’s too late to complain.
Buy from authorized dealers or reputable shops, even if the price is slightly higher. Check batch numbers, seals, expiry dates (yes, cement and some chemicals actually expire). Compare weight and packaging consistency; fakes usually feel lighter or poorly printed. If something is suspiciously cheap, assume there is a reason.
Don’t let materials go straight from shop to installation. Inspect everything first. Open boxes. Count pieces. Test tiles for warping. Check pipes for cracks. People lose money not because materials were bad, but because they never bothered to check before workers used them.
Real renovation is not luck — it’s verification.
