Outside Pools: Flower Framing Water Beauty

Outdoor pools are usually the focal point of home or resort remodelling. Designers generally pay attention to the tiles, lighting and seating to make a luxurious retreat. Yet, flowers can provide a frame for a pool in such ways as to take its elegance to a new level, of being more than a place for swimming - a place of relaxation and beauty.

Imagine a brand new pool with blue water, smooth deck and modern lounge chairs. Now, encircle it with some tropical flowers such as hibiscus, bougainvillea or bird-of-paradise. The space immediately is transformed into a paradise. Flowers round off the hard lines of buildings, introduce spots of color contrasting against the reflection of the water, and spread fragrances that the breeze gently blows about.

At night, lighting in combination with flowering plants, such as white lilies or night jasmine make for a magical atmosphere and perfect for evening swims or meetings at the pool. For resorts, flowers are also good to pay branding attention to: tropical flowers emphasize exotic getaways; minimalist lavender or hydrangeas are in line with spa-like tranquility.

Conclusion / Area of thought: It is possible to construct the pool with renovations, and flowers make the experience. They are the reminder of water that is not only functional, but emotional as well: water provides a sense of relaxation and joy in combination with the blooms of nature. As you go about designing or refreshing an outdoor pool, think: is this just a collection of water or could this be a garden reflected in you - in blue?
