Roof renovation is most effective when it begins with a proper inspection. During my inspection of the building, the roof showed several signs of aging. Some roofing sheets were loose, while others had visible cracks and rust stains. These defects suggested that the roof had been exposed to harsh weather conditions for a long period without adequate maintenance.
The inspection focused on key areas such as the roofing sheets, timber supports, and fixing points. Weak timber members were identified, and some nails had loosened, creating gaps that could allow rainwater into the building. The drainage system was also checked, and it was observed that poor water flow contributed to damp patches seen inside the building.
Based on these findings, renovation was recommended. Damaged sheets were replaced, weak supports reinforced, and proper fixing methods applied. Drainage paths were also improved to prevent water accumulation. After renovation, the roof became more stable and secure. This inspection based approach ensured that only necessary repairs were carried out, saving cost while improving durability and protection.
