Small Kitchen, Big Impact: Budget-Friendly Upgrade in Back Bay

I recently tackled a kitchen refresh in my Back Bay apartment without breaking the bank. The space was functional but outdated

dark cabinets, scratched countertops, and limited lighting. Here’s what I did:

  1. Cabinet Handles Swap: Replaced old handles with sleek brushed nickel ones. It’s a small change, but it completely modernized the look.

  2. Painted Cabinets: I used a high-quality enamel paint in a soft gray to brighten the space and make it feel bigger.

  3. Under-Cabinet LED Lighting: Added LED strips under the cabinets to illuminate countertops. Makes cooking and prep so much easier.

  4. Open Shelving: Removed one upper cabinet and added a floating shelf for plants and accessories. Gives the kitchen a more open, airy vibe.

Tip: You don’t need a full renovation to make a big impact. Focus on hardware, lighting, and color it transforms the room instantly.
