The old bathroom was the kind you close the door on quickly. Peeling vinyl floors, mismatched fixtures, and a shower that always felt damp. We avoided using it unless we had to.
We gutted it, but we stayed realistic. Instead of expanding the footprint, we focused on durable materials and better ventilation. A simple tiled shower, a new exhaust fan, and a vanity with real storage did most of the work.
When we finished, the bathroom felt like a completely different room. It wasn’t flashy just clean, calm, and practical. Guests even comment on it now, which still makes me laugh considering what it used to look like.
Small spaces deserve respect. Good ventilation, decent storage, and quality surfaces go further than fancy décor.
