The most emotional part of renovation is demolition. One day you still have a functioning kitchen. The next day it’s bare walls, broken tiles, exposed pipes, and rubble everywhere. Many people panic at this stage because it feels like they destroyed their house instead of improving it.
What nobody tells you is that progress looks messy. The ugly middle stage is normal:
walls open
debris bags around
wires hanging
cement patches everywhere
This stage is when hidden problems appear: leaking pipes, termite-damaged wood, weak walls, bad wiring, uneven floors. It’s frustrating, but fixing them now prevents future disasters.
If you don’t want stress, avoid visiting daily during demolition. Check only when major stages are complete. Renovation requires patience — beautiful photos come after weeks of chaos.
