Oh, the thrill of teenagers scoring scholarships and jetting off to Canada is just the kind of excitement we all need in our lives. Junisha Harper, Tiara Antoine, and Abrielle Bascombe are about to embark on a journey full of maple syrup, poutine, and, oh yeah, basketball at CODE Academy.
Thanks to their skills showcased at the South Zone camp, these young athletes caught the attention of coach David “DJ” Joseph, a Trinidad and Tobago native with a keen eye for talent. Clint Wilson, the chairman of the South Zone, even tagged along to make sure they settled in comfortably – what a champ!
So, as we bid farewell to these rising stars and Mr. Wilson, let’s wish them a safe trip and nothing but net success up north. May their hoops dreams in Canada come true!
