This wall repaint happened in a small apartment in Chicago, Illinois. The goal wasn’t perfection, just to cover up years of scuffs and marks.
Before photo – stained and uneven wall.
We didn’t strip the wall completely. A quick sanding was done, but some dents were left in place because this was a weekend project, not a full remodel.
Midway through painting.
After two coats, the wall looked much cleaner. You can still spot a few uneven edges if you look closely, but overall the room feels fresher and brighter.
After photo – finished wall.
Lesson Learned
Prep matters, but even an imperfect paint job can dramatically improve a space.
