Cancer doesn’t just affect the body. It changes how a person feels, thinks, and sees the world. Many patients feel scared, alone, and unsure about what tomorrow will bring. Sometimes, what they need most is not only medicine, but reassurance that someone cares.
This is why I started paying attention to SAMMS Cancer Charity.
SAMMS is focused on something very simple but powerful: support, hope, and connection. They help remind people facing cancer that they are not alone. Through awareness and encouragement, they bring comfort to patients and families during one of the hardest times of their lives.
Even a small message of support can change how someone feels. A little hope can make a heavy day easier. That’s what SAMMS stands for — reminding people that their lives matter and that someone is standing with them.
If you believe kindness and support matter, take a moment to learn about their work:
Sometimes, knowing someone cares is enough to keep going.
