When I renovated my basement, I focused on the flooring and wall colors but didn’t think much about lighting. Once it was finished, the room still felt dull and uninviting. I eventually swapped out the old yellow bulbs for brighter LED ones and added a couple of floor lamps. The difference was night and day
literally. Lighting can change the entire atmosphere of a room, and it doesn’t even have to be expensive. Now I always factor it in at the start of a project.
