Woodlawn Library to Undergo $22M Renovation

Hey there! Big news from the Baltimore County Public Library the Woodlawn branch is about to get a super cool makeover! We’re talking a $22 million upgrade to give everyone a bigger and better community spot.

So, what’s new? Well, for starters, they’re adding a digital media lab where you can get creative with tech stuff. If you’re into music or podcasts, you’ll dig the new recording studio. Plus, there will be a café for grabbing a snack or coffee while you read or work. They’re also making special areas just for adults, teens, and kids. Need a quiet place to study or do homework? They’ve got you covered with new study spots. And for the little ones, Storyville is getting a makeover too, making it even more fun for early learning. The whole place is growing to 35,000 square foot!

Now, to make all this magic happen, the library will close its doors on September 26 but don’t freak out; it’s only temporary! A pop-up library will open on October 6 so you can still get your books and use some of the basic services while the main branch is under construction.

Once it’s all done, the Woodlawn Library will be a totally changed place. Think of it as a modern, creative hangout for everyone, no matter how old you are. With all the new tech, learning zones, and kid friendly spots, the library is going to be an even more amazing resource for the whole community when it reopens. Get Ready!
